Our teachers meet or exceed the educational requirements mandated by the State of Maryland. This includes successful completion of 90 clock hours of approved training and a complete background check. All employees receive continuing education every year and are CPR and First Aid certified.

Our main classroom is staffed with a lead teacher and an assistant. We have a dedicated classroom for 2-year-olds that is utilized based upon attendance and staffed with a lead teacher. At times, 2-year-olds join our main class with dual lead teachers and an assistant.

The Center’s Director:

BRITTANY MURRELL

Brittany joined the team at ECDC in 2014. She is a Senior Staff teacher and assists in our main classroom as well as is the lead teacher for our 2-year-olds. Brittany received her certification while attending Woodlawn High School and has additional specialized training hours for infants and toddlers. She is attending CCBC and studying Early Childcare Education. Brittany acts as an assistant to the director as well as is able to provide personalized attention and care to the children as needed. “Working with kids has always been my passion. I love to see their excitement when they learn new things…this is a wonderful Christian environment for kids to play and learn.”

AMANDA SERIO

Amanda is the newest addition to the ECDC team. She has 6 years of classroom experience and assists in our main classroom. Amanda received her certification while attending Catonsville High School and has completed additional continuing study hours. Amanda is from the Catonsville area and is the mother
of three.
